Henna Tattoos (summer 2012)

This summer, my mom finally allowed me to get a henna tattoo over the summer! I do not regret getting them because they are just temporary, and the tattoos I got really means something to me. I'm glad Janina pushed me into getting them! Hahaha!

Janina & Me

"Pinky Promise"
-- I got this because I saw a picture of this on Tumblr, and I got attached to it that I kept writing "promise" on my pinky using a pen!

"Flaming Opposites"
-- I wasn't supposed to get this, but since Janina told me that having a small henna tattoo on my finger isn't really super worth it, so I then decided to get this after 30 minutes of thinking about it. Hahaha! Embarrassing though because my back was breaking out that time (boo bacne!). Err. Haha!
-- The thing is, I am obsessed with Yin Yang because of Lao Tzu. Thank you Taoism and Social Studies! I love how this (Yin Yang + Sun) means that in every darkness, there is light, and in every light, there is darkness. I would go on with details in philosophical terms but, I might bore you, and it would take a long time for you to read it, so no. Haha! Maybe next time, I would do it though. Hihi

I was gonna get another henna (of a music note) at the back of my right ear (no not really the ear but, a part of my head that's closest to my back right ear), but I realized that I had school in a few days, so never mind. But, I will do it soon, and maybe I'd consider it being a real tattoo, that is if my parents would allow me. For now, Sharpie's and pens will do!

After 8 Years

It's been 8 long years since I've seen Ari. We have been best friends since junior prep, and well she left the Philippines when we were grade 3 (that's what I know... Haha). To be honest, after junior prep, I didn't see her anymore, but of course, I never forgot about her. She went to Malaysia and thought that she'd stay there for a month or so, thinking it was only a vacation, but the sad truth, she stayed there for several years, but came back to the Philippines a couple of times (according to her story).  I must say that we've been long lost friends I guess, but we regained our friendship last 2010 (thanks to our best friend, Elijah). Reminiscing past events with her was really great! The feeling that you've found your long lost friend, makes my life brighter in a way. I actually asked one of our friends, Raizza, when we were in grade 4 where Ari went, Raizza then told me that she's in Malaysia and such. I was quite sad that she left and I never knew, because of the fact that we were somehow separated through the years, but all is well!

Somewhere in 2011, Ari told me and Elijah that she'd be visiting the Philippines by November 2011, and that we should all hangout together. Yeah, it didn't happen. Well, it could've, but the time when I was in ATC, Ari told me that she'd be going there too and we should meet up, gladly I replied to her that we really should. Since I haven't thought of what to give her, I spent about 45 minutes or so, looking for a gift that hopefully she would like. I ended up buying her a necklace from Accessorize.

A necklace with a peach(? close to flesh + pink lol) rose, and headphones.
Backstory: Ari is a bit of a girly girl, and she likes pink. I figured that that small rosette suits it. Me and Ari almost have the same type of music, but not super super the same, and well, I know how she adores music, so I guess that the headphones could symbolize it.

Hihihi
*credits to whoever owns this hehe

If you guys wondered if we did meet, no, we didn't. It was sad though but, I knew that we'd meet someday, with some perfect timing I guess. (mmhmm cheesy) The three of us never did meet up together. Tragic. After a few months, Ari told us that she'd be coming back and this time around, she would really love to see us. I did get the chance to meet her before she went back to Malaysia, but sadly, Elijah missed out on this. Busy man nowadays I guess.

Last June 8, we agreed that we would seriously meet up already. Which we did, so hooray for that! We met up at ATC and caught up with each other's lives. That day was just a stunner for me, and I'm really glad that I got to spend some quality time with her, and by quality time, I mean walking, talking, chasing men, fangirling, did weird things, did courageous things, boy hunting, and of course, EAT. Honestly, words cannot describe how ecstatic I really feel. It has been TOO long since I've actually seen her, and yes, also from skype since we haven't skyped for a long time.

It was really funny on how we exchanged some TMI things, but man, it was GREAT! We did talk about our "lovelife" and it ended up making us a bit grungy 'cause of you-know-who. Funny how things intertwined and connected though! What a story, right Ari? It's glad that we've moved on from our pasts, and laughed about it and the silly things we did for love I guess. Proof of moving on? Well, here it is.

I made a promise to myself that I would delete EVERYTHING as soon as I showed Ari. Was it hard for me? At first, yeah. I mean, those words were very... giddy (nakakakilig or kilig in Tagalog), but I realized that it was time to let it go. Some people may get this picture, but probably most of you won't. If you get this picture, lucky you. If you don't, well good for you since you didn't put up with me when I was dealing with "that" problem.

We then ate dinner at Burger King because Jollibee was full. I was quite low on budget that day so I couldn't really ask her to eat in nice restaurants, but I'm glad she understood, and she as well was trying to budget herself too. Hahaha! Amazing how we were money-wise that day! We saw our former CL teacher back when we were grade 1 and grade 2 in Burger King, and I saw my former Music teacher / Adviser too! It was great catching up with them though. I did saw some people from my school and I realized school was near already. Aww, summer. To make things short, me and Ari spent a wonderful day with each other!

My burger face! Haha! Kudos to Ari!!

I'm really gonna miss you mermaid (my nickname to her when we were in junior prep) !!! Come visit soon again, and hopefully, your mom will reconsider you guys living here once again! Hihi!  I miss you and love you! Looking forward to our next hangout, and this time, I really hope Elijah can come with us!

Me & Ari

Ended the day by buying my sister some new toys and a pillow, and getting some Jamba Juice for myself! Hihi

Oh, and here's what I wore!

Shirt: Burberry
Shorts: Old Navy
Shoes: Solemate
Bag: Liz Claiborne

I do like them sparkly! Made the black polish not so boring after all! Too bad I have to take it out soon before school starts.

Happy Anniversary Breakthrough ♥

It's been a year since I have been part of the Youth For Christ - Zobel Family. Being part of YFC has changed my life in so many ways. I can't believe that in those 3 days, a person can change so much. My love for my YFC Family is indescribable. I love them all so much. I would love to share some stories and events that happened during my first experience as a participant in YFC, but I can't. It's quite confidential, and I might spoil some things to those who wants to join YFC. I must say though, I can't get enough of YFC.

"I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."

Since Core '12 were hyped about their first camp, they posted a picture + tagged those who were lucky to get in.

Woot! Parental Consent for camp!
Not to forget, our camp heads during our camp was Sam Razon and Lorenzo (Verge) Vergel de Dios

If I could only post the comments that some of us said, Hahaha, it would be a win!

The Pond's Commercial-Breakthrough Pose!

This was when we had to represent our organization during the Org Fair.

I think this was the first worship we had... I'm not quite sure though, but I remember that in our first worship (Breakthrough + YFC-Z) of the SY 11-12, former President Jiro de la Rosa, led our worship. I didn't expect it to be like that though. People shouting, people singing so loud, people crying, people kneeling, standing, and things like that. To be honest, I thought worship was just singing and giving praise, but it isn't all that. If you want to know how worship is, join YFC and some other organizations like J-Zone, and those alike! You would be craving for more and more worships! Trust me.

Haha Mike! Awww!

Our first out-of-school outreach! Very fulfilling day indeed!

I love you Lance!

Breakthrough Skypes and Webcams!

Our first Faci Training! WOOH! Breakthrough REPRESENT!

Our first camp that we served! Stronghold!!!!

Covenant Orientation hihihi

Always and forever! I will never, ever forget this camp! I love you so much my dearest YFC Family!
Btw, thank you Core '12, facilitators, service team, and to all those who made our camp successful, and very memorable!

God is good, all the time! God is where? Everywhere!
Everywhere? God is there. All the time, God is good!

Organizations

In DLSZ, we have these things called Organizations. They are somehow like clubs but, way better! I really like joining orgs because I get to know about the org more and what it's goal is, and also, I get to know and meet new people in campus. Here are my 3 orgs that I am part of.. (in order, like which org I joined first and such)

YFC - 1st Organization

I love my YFC Family!!

BREAKTHROUGH --> STRONGHOLD --> U-TURN --> THE CROSSING

LSYC - 2nd Organization

It's a long story on why I didn't go LSYC EB2 (Ekay Batch 2). Long story, short, I'm part of EB3!! Hehehe I must say,  EB3 was so EPIC! So much love for EB3!

Yesterday, there was an "event" that I got invited to go to. I wanted to go so bad, but I couldn't due to some issues at home that I had to deal with... Which was look after my sister. Since I couldn't go, Mitchelle and Moses called me up and told me something... They told me that I am part of Peace Committee/Core (I don't really know because I didn't understand them that much. Hahaha!)!!!!!! I was so happy that I kept screaming and yes, I did doubt it at first, so I kept asking them if it was real, and they laughed at me and said it's real. Hahaha! Well, all I could say is, thank you so much Mitchelle and Moses for choosing me! I love you guys to bits! Let's do this Peace Committee/Core '13!!! WOOH!

EB3 (my batch)

We were all doing the "C" because Carl left early to go to his game. Hehe

MY (Mission Youth) - 3rd Organization

It is indeed true that the Mission Youth Organization in DLSZ is the first Mission Youth Org that held a camp to train and have more members in Mission Youth. I must say, being the first set of campers, it was lovely! Haha! I was really proud of Fr. Eric, the consecrated women, and to all those who made it possible for Mission Youth to be an organization in school. Way to go guys!

I am also proud to say that I am part of the Programs and Planning team (I forgot what it's really called so let's settle that for now)!

My group! Love these girls so much! Hehe

2-Toned + Splurge

Went to the mall and tried out to mix and match once again! I had a clutch bag that was green but I didn't get to take a picture with it.. Also, I bought some stuff that I intended on buying.

Elbow cut sleeves: Bazaar
Necklace: treasure?
Tank Top: Old Navy
Shorts: Heritage

Boots: from cousin

Bought these sandals in Jessica

When I saw this rug, it caught my attention, and I bought it. It's so soft and fluffy! I wish it were a carpet though. I just want to lay on it forever! Haha!

Finally! Got the chance to buy some new lip balm!
